- Does it cost to audition?
- There are no fees or participation costs.
*Applicants are responsible for all costs associated with the application and screening process, including postage costs for documents, telephone calls, and data communications.
*If you are participating in the second round of auditions from afar, we will cover part of your travel and accommodation costs to the second round venue. - I have never auditioned before, is that okay?
- No experience necessary. First, prepare a video and photos and apply.
We will consider not only your current talent and ability, but also your future potential and future prospects. - I was previously affiliated with an agency, can I still audition?
- There is no problem as long as you are not affiliated with or under contract with another production company at the time of application.
- Is there a lesson fee?
- There are no participation or lesson fees.
- If I am a minor, how do I get parental consent?
- Please be sure to get parental consent.
*If a minor passes the screening, we will ask for confirmation from their guardian. - What kind of photos should I take and send?

Please provide a photo taken within the last two months.
This will be a bust shot (from head to chest) taken from the front that clearly identifies you.
There are no restrictions on clothing or hairstyle. As long as your facial expression is easy to understand, you can wear whatever style you like.

- *Please provide a photo that clearly identifies you.

- *Photo stickers are not allowed.
- *Photos taken within the last two months.
- *Please take photos in portrait orientation (vertical).
- * After taking the photos, please send them to us without editing them.
- What kind of videos should I shoot and what data should I send?

Please take the photo in a well-lit place so that your facial expressions and dancing can be seen. The screen size should be landscape (horizontal) and large enough to capture your whole body.
Your voice may be too quiet or too loud for people to hear, so be sure to check before sending.
If you have a friend take your photo, make sure the camera is not shaking.

- *The video must show your entire body alone.
- *Please select at least two and a maximum of three from the following categories: "Vocal Video", "Rap Video", "Dance Video", and "Self-Expression", and upload each video within one minute. All videos should be shot in landscape format (horizontal shot) and show your entire body.
- *There are no designated songs for vocal and dance videos. Original songs, a cappella, or singing with an acoustic guitar are also acceptable.
- *Please limit videos to 1 minute and about 100MB.
- *You can also send us the URL of the video from a video playback site. (Please keep it private.)
- *The submitted video data may be used for purposes other than broadcasting the program, such as on the "PRODUCE 101 JAPAN新世界" official website. Please note.
- Will the images and video data I submitted be returned?
- Documents will not be returned. After the audition, they will be disposed of responsibly and appropriately.
- Will I receive an email when my application is completed?
- After completing your application, you will receive an automatic reply email. This will also complete the application process.
- I live overseas. Can I take the audition remotely?
- For those who live or are currently staying overseas, we will consider conducting the first screening remotely only.
- Will I receive notification of the results of the examination?
- Only successful applicants will be contacted and notified. We cannot answer inquiries regarding the results of the screening.
- Are there any restrictions on using social media?
- Regardless of the results, please refrain from posting any information about the audition, the audition content, or whether you passed or failed through any means, including social media.
- Are there any requirements regarding clothing or hairstyle during the audition?
- If you are dancing, please wear comfortable clothing.
- Is there an age limit?
- There is no upper age limit as long as the applicant is a male who has reached the age of 15 as of February 1, 2026.
- I can't speak Japanese, can I apply for this audition?
- Nice to meet you. Where are you from…? Of course we welcome non-Japanese speaker too! Your passion matters the most:)
(It doesn't matter if you can't speak Japanese! As long as you have a passion for singing, dancing and rapping, language won't be a problem!)
